The National Weather Service has issued and Extreme Heat Warning for:
La Paz and Yuma counties, May 11.
Maricopa county has extended their warning through May 12. Daytime highs are expected to reach up to 112 degrees Farenheit . Drink water, limit your time in the heat, and check on neighbors and family members. Visit air-conditioned public spaces like malls, libraries, or community centers to stay cool. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed.

One of Arizona’s most important resources are the children that live and play in our state. Over 1.1 million children ages 5 to 18 attend publicly-funded schools for an average of 180 days every year. Many of these children spend additional time in clubs, sports, summer school, and other school-sponsored activities.
