The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for 7 counties . Coconino County (lower elevations of the Grand Canyon) will be affected through July 1. Graham, Greenlee, Pima, Pinal, and Gila Counties will be affected through June 30. Maricopa County will be affected June 29-July 1. Daytime highs up to 116°F are expected. Public cooling centers are available in some areas. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed.

Prescription opioids and illegal opioids like counterfeit pills with fentanyl are addictive and can be deadly. In 2017, a statewide public health emergency was issued in an effort to reduce opioid deaths. We continue to collect opioid data and take action to address the ongoing opioid crisis in our state.
