The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Cochise, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, Pima and Santa Cruz counties, July 24-25; Coconino county, July 24-26; and warning are ongoing for La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Pinal and Yuma counties through July 27. Daytime highs are expected to reach up to 117°F. Drink water, limit your time in the heat, and check on neighbors and family members. Visit air-conditioned public spaces like malls, libraries, or community centers to stay cool. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed.
